Introducing the Showcase Forest Releaf Fund
A single tree produces an average of 8,500 sheets of paper. That’s 17 reams of standard office copier paper.
For every 8,500 slide views in your Showcase app, you’re saving a tree - because every page view is one page not printed out.
We think that’s a pretty great start. But we wanted to make it even better.
So for every tree you save (every 8,500 slide views), your tree-hugging friends here at Showcase Workshop are going to donate $10 to Trees that Count.
And what will $10 get you at Trees that Count?
You guessed it! Every $10 buys and plants one native tree.
So with every $10 donation you double your impact. You already saved a tree by not
printing pages in the first place, and then you planted a fresh new tree with every 8,500
page views in Showcase account.
If your organisation saves 20 trees in a quarter (that’d be 170,000 page views across your
organization),
we’ll give you the option to make that donation in your company name.
The Showcase Forest Releaf Fund is more than just a charitable marketing program with a moderately clever name. Read the Founder Story here and find out why we decided to launch a program to help save trees.
Trees don't just produce the air we breathe — they clean it too. Trees filter out harmful micro-particles and pollutants, they are nature's own purification system and that’s why it’s important that we save them.
Trees also catch and clean our water, preserve our ecosystem, help fight climate change and support many people’s livelihood. You might think "a tree is just a tree," but the truth is that each species of
tree has its own unique characteristics and interaction with its local environment. Nature
designed these complex systems and we need to make sure those elements remain intact, as best we can
— for the environment’s sake and our own.
Native trees actually provide
their own special set of benefits.
Digital sales and marketing collateral is…
Digital content also paints your company as forward-thinking and efficient.
Here’s where things get really interesting, though…
In 2014, 406.5 million metric tons of paper and cardboard were produced worldwide.
4,000,000,000 trees are cut down each year for paper production.
Even with the increased availability of digital tools, we use 400% more paper today than 40 years ago.
45% of office paper printed ends up in the trash by the end of the day.
So by using digital content management tools, you’re doing so much more than increasing efficiency.
Keep up the good work.
Those of us who live and breathe here on Earth with you sure appreciate it.
PS: Some of our customers have asked if we would make the donation to a charity
in their own country. After all, the Showcase home country of New Zealand is already
pretty clean and green. Why should we get all the trees? Here’s the thing: The
logistics of giving to charities in other countries would diminish the amount of
funds we have to give. For now. As our company grows and becomes an increasingly global
megaforce of awesomeness
sales enablement provider, it will become easier to give to
other charities. For the time being, we invite you to New Zealand to enjoy the trees
you’ve helped to save and plant.
